Bed Time Stories: # 1 Orion

The Tale of Orion and the Starry Bridge
Once upon a time, in a sky not so different from ours, there lived a brave hunter named Orion. He wasn’t just any hunter—he was the greatest of them all, with eyes as sharp as an eagle’s and a heart as kind as the moonlight.
One quiet evening, as Orion walked under the shimmering sky, he noticed something strange: the stars were dimming, one by one. The night was losing its sparkle, and darkness crept in like a heavy blanket.
“Who is stealing the light from the sky?” Orion wondered aloud.
A gentle voice whispered from above. It was Luna, the Moon. “Orion, a shadow is spreading across the stars. Only someone brave and true can climb the Starry Bridge and set them free.”
Without hesitation, Orion took his mighty bow and stepped onto the bridge made of twinkling stardust. With every step, the stars under his feet glowed brighter. Higher and higher he climbed, until he reached the heart of the sky, where a great shadow beast was hoarding the starlight in its massive claws.
“Release the stars!” Orion commanded.
The beast growled but hesitated when it saw the fire in Orion’s eyes. With a swift movement, Orion raised his bow and shot an arrow made of pure light, breaking the beast’s grip. The stars burst free, scattering across the sky like glittering diamonds.
Luna’s voice returned, soft and warm. “Orion, you have saved the night sky. For your courage, you shall live among the stars forever.”
And so, Orion became a constellation—a guiding figure in the sky, watching over dreamers and adventurers every night.
As you drift to sleep tonight, look out for Orion’s Belt. He’s still there, standing tall, guarding the stars and lighting up the night sky just for you.
FIN.
